Balmoral Beach in Mosman is home to vegan cafes, activewear and dogs….more specifically, people in activewear walking dogs to vegan cafes. Okay, that’s slightly stereotypical, I admit. In all seriousness though, Balmoral Beach has a lot going for it. Split into 3 sections, the far side is bordered by the Boat House Cafe (which is a must to visit). This is home to huge trees, a great playground, and sheltered picnic/BBQ areas. On the other side of the Boat House, you will find a netted swimming enclosure surrounded by a huge jetty, perfect for kids and great for jumping off!
Head a little further along and you will arrive at an open area also great for swimming, or water sports such as paddleboarding and kayaking. At the end of this section, you will find a huge gazebo and beautiful headland looking out to North Head. Aside from being extremely hard to find a park, I highly recommend you take a visit here!
