Kindness Speakers
I see a generation who speak with kindness, as though they speak the very words of God. Their hearts in tune with the Spirit. Thoughtful. Gracious. Loving. Building up, not tearing down. Sweet words that bring healing to the heart and soul. I see a generation whose speech is gracious and whose words bring life. A generation who use their mouths to celebrate others, to instill courage, to lavish love and to nourish the soul. To elevate, to crown.
Their Spirit is soft, their heart humble, their ears attentive and their mind alert. They think before speaking whether or not their words are useful, whether they build up or tear down, whether they’re kind. Their kindness is not mustered up from their own strength.

What to do when you feel unmotivated
Have you ever felt in a slump? Unmotivated, lazy, apathetic? It’s Friday and I’m reflecting on the week I’ve just had. Nothing has been bad about it, but I’ve felt really unmotivated to do anything. Sometimes not being motivated can simply come from simple lifestyle habits that need to change. So as I write this, I’m walking along the beach (nothing out of the ordinary) and chatting to the Lord about why I might be feeling this way. I wrote down some super practical things that came to mind and thought I would share them with you too!
I’m not sure about you, but this COVID season has been draining…in all areas of health, but particularly emotionally and mentally.

Make Mondays Great Again
There’s always that one day in the week that we all dread. I mean, who likes Mondays, anyway? I’ve had this thought on my mind recently, so I decided to take a walk along the beach and ask the Lord about it. In my last post, I wrote about my Sabbath – my favourite day of the week. It’s my favourite day because I do everything that I love on that one day. But what’s stopping me from also having a great Monday?
As I was walking along the beach, I realised something. If we don’t like what we’re doing – whether that be our work, our routine, etc., we have the permission to change it up! I think sometimes we get so caught up in our daily routines and the mundane tasks that we forget that it’s actually okay to make some changes and enjoy life!

sabbath: A day of delight
As I write this, I’m sitting at the beach after a long Saturday morning walk and 2 cups of coffee. This is my sabbath…and I thought I’d let you in on a little delight of mine. “Sabbath” is a day of rest, a day of delight in the Lord. Some people may say it’s old fashioned, but it’s by far my favourite day of the week. Every Saturday I take the day to spend intentional time with Jesus and to do the things I love, that make my heart & soul happy.
It was modelled by my King when He created the world;
“For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, but on the seventh day He rested. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.”
Exodus 20:11

Generous Givers
I see a generation who are generous. Not only with their money, but generous with their time, with their hearts and with their words. A generation who live open lives, with outstretched hands, not clinging too tightly to their own, but cheerfully and graciously giving to others. Their eyes are wide open, their hearts and minds alert to the needs around them.
They are hospitable. Generous in opening up their homes. They’re the ones who willingly go the extra mile…over and above. They give freely, without prejudice or judgement, without keeping track or expecting in return. Above all, their delight is in the Lord and their life overflows with thanksgiving; for He, first, is a generous God. They count it a privilege to be generous.

Soul Seekers
I see a generation who are set on their Father’s business. A generation whose heartbeat lines up with His. Whose heart breaks for what His heart breaks for. They are a generation who seek out the lost, the hurting and the broken to share the GOOD NEWS of Jesus. Their hearts are burdened with a desire for others to know the one who created them. The one who formed them, who knit them together. To know the one who brings purpose and fulfilment to their lives.
They are a generation no longer consumed with themselves or their own needs, but whose hearts are moved by love and compassion for others. A love that comes from the overflow of their time spent with Jesus. They are bold. They are courageous.

Dream Chasers
I see a generation who have dared to dream again. A generation who feel the whisper of more. The beckoning to open up to the possibilities of God. A generation who no longer feel the need to live up to the expectations of others, but who are set on living up to all that they were created for.
A generation who see what could be, and who boldly set out to make it a reality. People of courage. I see a generation who dream of new ideas and new solutions with new creativity. But not their own; it comes straight from the throne room of heaven. Divine inspiration, heavenly wisdom from the author of creation. But they are not simply the dreamers….they are the Dream Chasers. The ones who remember that with God, all things are possible.
Washaway Beach, NSW
Washaway Beach is the most beautiful, hidden gem in Middle Harbour! It is not easy to find (it literally took me years), and you’ll need to scramble down the rocks to get to the sand, but it’s definitely worth it. The water is a stunning turquoise colour, crystal clear. It’s perfect for snorkelling and fishing, or spending the day in a more secluded area. TOP TIP: If you decide to snorkel here, it would be smart to take a friend. The current can be strong and there are rips….you don’t want to wash away!
To access, you will need to park at Debroyd Head (Debroyd Scenic Drive). Head towards the lighthouse walk, and you will find an intersection to turn off towards Washaway. There are no signs, so I would say use your Maps on your phone to help you find the right track!
