For example, I made a habit to prepare my food for work the next day and decide what I'm wearing the night before. That way, when I get up in the morning, I can spend my time making my coffee, eating a good brekky, walking down to the beach and spending time with Jesus.

I know what it's like to snooze your alarm, to wake up late, to not have things ready or prepared and to rush off to work without breakfast. Trust me, it's not worth it!

Living healthy doesn't need to be hard. Your body was made for it! What you put in your body and how you use your body is so important. It can affect everything from your mood to your mental and emotional health, to your gut, immune system and your levels of energy. Building healthy habits into your life one at a time will create long-term and lasting change in your life.

There are a few keys to building habits. Start small, find a cue or trigger to remind you about that habit, and don't forget to celebrate your victories!

So you want to build some healthy habits into your life but don't know where to start? Here are some ideas:

  • Why don't you start with making your bed in the morning? It's crazy how a simple thing that doesn't take much time can clear your mind and make you feel like you've achieved something for the day!

  • Make it a habit to get some sunshine each day - let some vitamin D into your little heart.

  • Open the windows! Let in the fresh air.

  • Drink lemon water - boost your immune system.

  • Have a good morning and night routine.

  • Exercise daily.

  • Swim in the ocean.

  • Go for a walk.

  • Drink lots of water.

Don't try to do them all at once...you'll only last a few days! But it's not hard to change your lifestyle one small habit at a time.
